    What is Open API?

    Open API is a secure and fast computer information exchange approach. Which enables to execution of instructions between different computer systems. The implementation of the Open Application Programming Interface (Open API) in Hong Kong, led by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), is supervised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). Banks through open APIs open up their internal systems and information to authorized third-party service providers. These providers can then make use of the open information to offer unique products and new customer experience.

     

    What is Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) initiative?

    "Interbank Account Data Sharing" (IADS) is a measure launched by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) under its Open Application Programming Interface (Open API) framework. The initiative aims to allow customers to securely and efficiently share their bank account information with other banks subject to customer consent. Such sharing will facilitate banks in enhancing customer experience and providing more personalized services to you.

     

    What service do we provide under the Interbank Account Data Sharing’ (IADS) initiative?

    CMB Wing Lung Bank Mobile App has launched its first Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) feature for individual customers - the ‘Interbank Account Inquiry’. Progressively, our bank customers can view deposit account data at designated bank safely and efficiently within the CMB Wing Lung Bank Mobile App. This new feature enables you to manage your personal accounts more conveniently and efficiently, and enjoy more personalized financial services.
