The Bank has been committed to promoting the development of sports in Hong Kong and sponsored the Asian Canoe Polo Championships organized by The Hong Kong Canoe Union* for the first time in 2015. 28 teams from 11 countries/districts of Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Japan and Iran, were attracted to join the tournament. Thrilling competing scenes were staged during the 3-day event, which raised rousing cheers and applause from the spectators.

*The Hong Kong Canoe Union was established in 1973 and the Asian Canoe Polo Championships is an important international sports event in Hong Kong, as well as one of the biggest canoe polo events in Asia.
