CMB Wing Lung Bank Mooncake Donation
To commemorate the Mid-Autumn Festival, CMB Wing Lung Bank has once again partnered with Ginkgo House*, a social enterprise, to specially craft over 2,400 CMB Wing Lung Mooncakes. These delectable treats feature a low-sugar white lotus paste filling with a golden egg yolk. The mooncakes were generously donated to 25 kindergartens and 6 child development centers under the PLK Social Services Unit#, providing an opportunity for over 1,200 families to indulge in the festive delicacies.
In celebration of the Bank's 90th Anniversary, this year's mooncakes bear the imprints of two significant symbols: the Chinese character of "CMB Wing Lung" and "90". The involvement of elderly employees from Ginkgo House in the production process has been particularly meaningful. They expressed their delight in being able to utilize their skills and contribute to society through this activity.
*Ginkgo House was established in 2003. It is the first organization in Hong Kong to promote employment for the elderly, providing employment opportunities for the elderly who have financial and psychological needs to work.
#PLK Social Services Unit provides diversified services including day creche, child care and special child care services and education for children from newborn to the age of six. It also provides early learning and professional training to children with special needs.
