Sponsored Colleagues Joining Oxfam Trailwalker -Virtually Together
Due to the continuous spread of COVID-19, Oxfam cancelledOxfam Trailwalker 2020 fundraising sporting event and held a new activity named asOxfam Trailwalker - Virtually Together, which offered participants more flexibility in terms of the activity format. Participants can choose a suitable format^ based on their own abilities and time availability. 4 of our colleagues decided to join the most challenging “In One Go” format (Complete100 km within 48 hours). During 26th February (Friday) to 28th February (Sunday), they finished the activity within 38 hours under adverse weather conditions, which was a stunning result!
*Oxfam Trailwalker is one of the largest fundraising sporting events in Hong Kong. Since 1986, more than 98,000 participants have raised over HK$538 million to support Oxfam's various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects in Africa and Asia, including Hong Kong and mainland China.
^According to Oxfam website, activity formats include “In One Go” (Complete 100 km within 48 hours), “Multiple Go”(Complete four sections of the 100 km trail in multiple goes, four tries max) and “Choose Your Own Adventure”.(Not required to complete the whole trail or section but need to start at the Pak Tam Chung P.H.A.B. Site, Kei Ling Ha, Tai Po Road or Route Twisk. Participants can stop anywhere.).
