The annual dinner was hosted by Dr. Kelvin Wong, Chairman of Council of HKIoD and Prof. K C Chan, GBS, JP, Secretary of the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (2nd from left) was present as the officiating guest.

Our Bank is always committed to practise good corporate governance and therefore sponsored the Directors of the Year Awards 2013*, to promote the importance of corporate governance together with The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD), the organizer of the Awards. Entering its 13th anniversary, the Directors of the Year Awards 2013 was themed “Promoting ESG Policies － Adding Corporate Value by the Board”. Winners of the Awards were unveiled in the annual dinner of HKIoD held in December. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Zhu Qi was also present to receive souvenir on behalf of our Bank.

*Directors of the Year Awards was launched by The Hong Kong Institute of Directors since 2001 and is the first of its kind in Asia. It aims to promote good corporate governance practice, recognize those who excel in the area, as well as to enhance the awareness towards the best corporate management and the specialization of the directors’ responsibilities from the public.
