Organized Staff Volunteer Activity – Handmade Mosquito Repellent and Soap Workshop
The hot and humid summer in Hong Kong provides a breeding ground for mosquitoes. In order to enhance the public awareness of the importance of hygiene and epidemic prevention, the Bank has joined hands with "Handmade 38C"* of Hong Kong Young Women Christian's Association (HKYWCA) to hold a DIY workshop on 23rd. April (Saturday). A group of underprivileged children from Tin Shui Wai was invited to make their own handmade mosquito repellent and soap during the workshop. The Bank hopes the workshop allow the children to make their own mosquito repellent and soap while letting them to share with their family and friends the "DIY protection".
*The Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (HKYWCA) was established in 1920. “Handmade 38C”, which is managed by the Continuing Education Department of HKYWCA, wishes to use handmade products as a medium to open up people’s heart and spread the message of love.
