To promote sports among colleagues of the Bank and the general public, the Bank has first supported the race organized by Shatin Sports Association* as the title sponsor and named the event CMB Wing Lung Bank Cup Shatin Lunar New Year Run 2016.

The event was held on 21 February (Sunday) and attracted over 1,500 participants. It included 10km and 3km individual and team, as well as the 800m family run. With 58 colleagues and their kids joining the race, the Bank won the championship of The Best Application Award. Moreover, Ellen Cheng Yin Kwan of Internal Audit Department won the 5th runner up in 10km female individual. Participated colleagues cheered up and supported each other during the race, which demonstrated their vibrant team spirit.

* Shatin Sports Association was established in 1982 and has become an important and influential local sports organization in Shatin, which aims to promote sports in the community.
