In May 2013, a volunteer team of 4 colleagues of the Bank attended the official re-opening ceremony of a school in Gansu Province, which was rebuilt with the donations of the Bank. The Bank has organized a fund-raising activity in 2012, together with the donations from CMB Wing Lung Foundation, we helped the school to rebuilt through Sowers Action*. Apart from the monuments opening ceremony, the 4-day school visit also included a tree planting session, in which volunteers, teacher and students planted 8 pine trees at the school to celebrate the Bank’s 80th Anniversary.

*Established in 1992, Sowers Action is committed to promoting education aid in rural China by helping poor or disabled students to complete their education, reconstructing schools and facilities that fulfill safety regulations and improving the quality of teacher training.
