The Bank has been committed to supporting the education field as well as to living up to the responsibility as a good corporate citizen over the years. This principle of “WHERE-EVER YOU TAKE; WHERE-EVER YOU GIVE” shares the same vision with Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance (IGEF)* of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Based on this shared vision, the Bank has started to sponsor the IGEF and became Friends of IGEF in late 2016, in order to fund the research of economic policies, and to nurture more talents in the financial sector to serve the community.
*Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance (IGEF) is a self-financed, independent, non-profit research institute of CUHK. It was established in January 2010 by Emeritus Professor Liu Pak Wai and Professor Lawrence J. Lau.
