Supported the Earth Hour for the 16th Consecutive Year
As the worldwide largest environmental movement, Earth Hour 2023* was held on 25th March (Saturday) at 8:30pm local time. The Bank had been supporting this initiative the 16th consecutive year. With the theme of “Habits Protect Habitats” this year, WWF is focusing on wetlands and giving more context to the “habits” that will help create positive change.
The Bank had turned off the lightbox signage at CMB Wing Lung Bank Building in Central and CMB Wing Lung Bank Centre in Mong Kok. In addition, to demonstrate our support and care to the Earth, the Bank had invited tenants at CMB Wing Lung Bank Centre to turn off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances in their office for one hour.
*Earth Hour is a global event for energy conservation. It advocates families and corporations to turn off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances for 1 hour at 8:30p.m. on the last Saturday in March every year.
