CMB Wing Lung Bank 90th Anniversary Tree Planting Day
With the city's development and the growing awareness of climate change, caring for trees and preserving ecological diversity has become a shared belief among the citizens of Hong Kong. On 21st May 2023, CMB Wing Lung Bank collaborated with the World Green Organization (WGO)* to successfully organize a tree planting day, commemorating the Bank 90th Anniversary. Led by the Bank's management, a team of volunteers planted over a hundred saplings at Tai Lam Country Park.
Under the guidance of professional instructors, the volunteers quickly acquired the necessary skills, starting from weeding and digging holes, then soaking the seedlings in water and planting them, and finally tilling and compacting the soil. Through the teamwork, 190 saplings were successfully planted. The volunteers not only enjoyed the closeness to nature but also gained a deeper understanding of the vital role that tree planting plays in the natural environment.
